Connect and get support in one fell swoop.
Family life these days means being on the go and trying to do it all without enough time or enough support. Remember that you are not alone. Meet other parents with similar challenges and experiences, and get support from early child development specialists and guest speakers.
Newborn Community Groups (ages 0-6mo)
Transitioning to Parenthood, Connecting with Your Newborn, Creating Your Village
Eight-week series for parents with new babies
Did you recently welcome a new human to your family? Are you looking for an opportunity to connect with other parents, learn how to support your baby's development, and begin to develop your parenting style? Join us!
This in-person group is designed to support your transition to life with a newborn, help to make connections with other new parents and to share resources around supporting you and your babe.
Supported Playgroups (infants & toddlers)
If you are interested in making new friends and learning from other parents in the community, please join us.
In these casual community groups, expecting mamas and papas and then parents with babies under 3 connect with one another and collaborate to work through questions and struggles, especially as we emerge from the COVID-19 crisis.
Baby Sign Language (0-18 mo)
Currently via Zoom with Happy Baby Signs
Happy Baby Signs baby sign language series is a fun way to build your signing vocabulary and skills with themes like mealtime, animals, colors, family, bedtime, and more.
Learn the basics in an introductory class, and expand your repertoire (and get to know other babies) in the 6 week playgroup Baby Sign Language series.
LGBTQ+ Family Playgroups
In person groups are on hold
Come sing, play, laugh and learn with Our Family Coalition and Recess Collective at this fun, interactive monthly group for LGBTQ+ parents with kids 1-4 years. Explore the amazing indoor playspace, express yourself with hands on creative activities, and make new friends at Circle Time. Activities at Toddle With Me support your child's overall development: gross and fine motor skills, coordination and balance, early literacy, pre-math, and social-emotional skills. First-time participants will need to complete a brief intake upon arrival. For more information, please contact SF Programs Coordinator, Karlon Zee at karlon@ourfamily.org or 415-981-1960 ext. 311.
