Music for All Ages

Do you love music as much as we do? It’s an incredible learning tool for young children, it snaps us grown ups out of a bad mood, and it brings people together.

Join us this summer for music designed to delight and engage all members of our community. And please spread the word, because music is more fun with friends!

Summer Music Activities at Recess

a perk of membership!

Mondays

Little Ladybugs Early Childhood Music Class with Toby. Last Monday of the month @ 9:40am (June 24, July 29, August 26):

Toby’s small group classes for mixed ages (newborns - 5 years) include lots of fun singing, movement, instruments, and are a great chance for the Little Ladybugs (your young musicians!) to connect with you, their parents and/or caregivers, and also with the other musicians in the class. We develop our sense of rhythm, pitch, melody, and have a lot of fun in the process. Classes are developmentally appropriate for the Little Ladybugs in each class!

Tuesdays

Stories & Song with Regina at 11am

“Each time I bring my one year twins to Recess, I see them develop more and more. The space invites them to play, but I’m most impressed with the skills they come away with after spending time there. I’m a former elementary school teacher and appreciate developmentally appropriate activities Recess offers to babies, toddlers and kids.”

- Mom of 1-year old twins

About the leader:

Hi Everyone! My name is Regina Elaine Delacruz and I am so excited to be part of the Recess community! A little about myself: I have my bachelor’s degree in Child Development from San Diego State University and I’ve been teaching in the field of early childhood education for 10 years now!.I’ve worked with children from infants up to age 5 and just recently decided to stay home with my 21 month old son, Miles. I live with my husband and son in the Richmond District and although we’re both from San Diego, we love calling San Francisco home. I look forward to meeting you all and reading stories and singing songs with your little ones!
