DECEMBER: Come Play!

Thank you all so much for your patience while we've been busy completely demo'ing our new location, designing the space to meet the needs of your family & putting the finishing touches on it to create a comfortable little oasis for you, your caregivers & your children.  

Now that we are open for business, we are thrilled to give you the scoop on next steps and invite you in to play!

• SOFT OPEN HOURS: NOW through 12/21.  

  • Members & those of you who have purchased playspace packs are invited to drop in & join us to play.  Playspace hours are M, T, Th, F 9:30-5:30 & Weekends 9:30-12:30. Stay tuned in the new year for additional early AM and late PM member only hours as we survey you all for preferred days/times.  

  • Not a member yet? Book a playspace pass to check out the space and join before 12/22 to get early bird deals on membership.

  • Interested in coming by for a tour, or to check out the space before booking a party? Feel free to come by during business hours and we can show you around!

• HOLIDAY BREAK:  12/22-1/2. We will close up for the holidays so our staff can be with their families and then we’ll re-open for all on 1/4 for members, playspace pass holders and limited afternoon drop in visits. 

Note that: 

• parties are available to be booked for the new year as well if you're interested in reserving a slot for a celebration! For a limited time, they are only $350.

• We have some really great workshops on the schedule for December and Beyond (including cpr, intro to sign language, infant sleep, responsive caregiving, introducing a sibling, potty training & more). 

• If you have friends / neighbors interested in checking out the space, please spread the word.

Plan your Fall Family Fun

Prenatal Classes, Parent Workshops, Parties & More!

The show goes on, and this show is moving to the Outer Sunset and will be open later this Fall!  We're excited to show you our new space.  In the meantime, grab your calendar and reserve your fall/winter birthday party, parent support class, prenatal workshops, and more.  

Oh, and membership packages are the lowest they'll ever be...so take advantage before Sept 15 when prices go up!

August at Recess + Details about our New Location

As you probably know, Recess in Potrero Hill is open through 8/31 for play, parties & classes and then we'll be moving out to our new home on Taraval.

Read below to check out all the fun that's in store for both locations & our pre-opening deals this month and beyond.

Join us this month for:

- Saturday 8/11 for Family Yoga with It's Yoga Kids (10:30am, $25 for the whole family!). 
- Tuesdays 8/14 & 8/21 for our last two toddler chefs classes (4:30pm, sign up ahead of time!)
- Monday 8/20, Dance Party with Charity Kahn! (noon, $30, includes a day of play)

EXPECTING PARENTS - We have three spots left in September's Childbirth Prep Class, and 2 each in the October Childbirth prep & Newborn Care classes. https://www.recesscollective.org/prenatal

We'll be taking the month of September to relocate to our new location on Taraval, called Recess Collective & should be ready to welcome you this October/November! If you'd like to secure the cheapest prices for membership, join before August 31 with one of our founding packages.

Recess' Next Chapter

The silver lining of Recess' restructuring & relocation is that our services, partnerships, staff and incredible community will live on through Recess Collective.  Recess isn't going away, we're evolving. 

Our new home will be 2226 Taraval, at 32nd Avenue, in the Outer Sunset.  We will have a great playspace designed for children & their parents, ages newborn through 4 years.  Our classroom will continue to offer workshops & fitness classes to support your journey as a parent or caregiver...CPR classes, Childbirth Prep, Newborn Care, Baby Sign Language, Parenting your toddler, Potty Training, Sleep & more.  Our moderated playgroups will help to build community while supporting new parents.  And, of course, our office space will be available for co-working while your little one has childcare in the playspace.
